Live-in care is not a one-size-fits-all service.

Care is structured around the individual, their needs, and the level of support required to keep them safe and settled at home. For this reason, we do not offer fixed or generic pricing.

However, families deserve clarity from the outset.

A general guide

As a general guide, professionally managed live-in care in Ireland typically falls in the region of €1,200–€1,600 per week.

This range reflects a fully coordinated and compliant service, including structured rotas, appropriate rest periods, professional oversight, and reliable cover. Fees vary depending on care needs, overnight arrangements, and the structure of the placement.

A clear and agreed weekly fee is confirmed following an initial discussion, before any care begins.

There are no hidden charges and no unexpected changes once care is in place.

How fees are determined

Fees are shaped by the structure and complexity of care, including:

Level of daytime support and supervision required
Overnight presence and care arrangements
Whether one or two carers are required to maintain continuity
Complexity of needs (for example, mobility or memory support)
Backup cover and on-call support requirements

Because every situation is different, fees are discussed after an initial conversation to ensure the arrangement is appropriate, sustainable, and fair.

Tax relief on home care

Tax relief of up to 40% may be available on private home care costs, subject to eligibility.

How tax relief can affect overall cost

For example:

A weekly cost of €1,200 may reduce to an effective cost of approx. €720 per week after tax relief.
A weekly cost of €1,600 may reduce to an effective cost of approx. €960 per week after tax relief.
